Mr. Pertti Majanen, Under-Secretary of State, accompanied by Mrs. Kirsti Lintonen, the Ambassador of Finland to Mozambique and Mr. Juhani Toivonen, Chargé D'Affairs and other high level officials visited Instituto Nacional de Meteorologia (INAM) of Mozambique.

During the visit Mr. Majanen was shown the premises of INAM, and Mr. Filipe Lucio, Director of INAM, briefed of the achievements of the FINNIDA/SATCC/WMO project 1987-1993 and the implementation of the reconstruction programme 2000 - 2001 in the field of meteorology in Mozambique which has the support of the Finnish Government.
