Under the equipment component, INAMET was provided with various types of surface observational equipment to
rehabilitate the station network, 17 HF transceivers for the improvement of national data collection, anda CLICOM system
to establish a computerised data management system. In addition, an upper-air station was installed at Luanda Airport, to
strengthen weather forecasting and aviation services. Furthermore, INAMET’s maintenance capabilities were strengthened
through the fielding of a consultant to design a maintenance workshop and later by the installation of maintenance equipment
and vehicles for station inspection.
