Mr. Tokiyoshi Toya, WMO visited Finland 18-19 October 2001

The programme included discussions with representatives of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland and the Ministry of Transport and Communications and visits to FMI and Vaisala. Mr. Toya presented WMO Voluntary Cooperation Programme and the WMO Emergency Assistance Response Team activities.

Mr. Toya met with Dr. E. Jatila Director General of FMI and the Permanent Representative of Finland with WMO. The activities of FMI on climate research, international relations, product development, energy research, education and training, co-operation projects and observation systems were presented.
